Michael Petrosini

Head of Survivor Training – The Bikers Experience USA

A Life-Changing Encounter

On a day etched in memory, Michael stepped into a trailer filled with the hum of anticipation as riders suited up in their leathers. His offer of assistance was met with a poignant moment from a girl with half a right arm, a gesture that shattered barriers and ignited a deep-seated passion within him. This encounter was not just about the mechanics of motorcycles; it was about the indomitable human spirit.

Bringing The Bike Experience to the USA

The inspiration didn’t stop there. Michael’s wife, Amy, equally moved by the initiative, inquired about the existence of a similar program in the United States. Finding none, the couple was galvanized into action, with Amy providing unwavering support. She became the cornerstone of what would soon emerge as The Bike Experience USA, her unwavering support fueling their shared vision.

Leading the Charge for Adaptive Riding

Supported by the Board of Directors and a community of dedicated volunteers, Michael Petrosini, now the Founder and President of The Bike Experience USA, continues to champion this cause. Driven by a commitment to enrich the lives of disabled individuals through the liberating experience of motorcycling. Today, the organization stands as a testament to the power of community, perseverance, and the belief that mobility challenges should not hinder the human spirit of adventure.

A Calling Discovered in the Pages of a Magazine

Turning Personal Challenges into a Mission

Amid the rolling green hills of England, Michael Petrosini found his calling nestled within the pages of a motorcycle magazine. It was there that he first read about “The Bike Experience,” a noble initiative giving disabled individuals the opportunity to ride motorcycles. With a knack for mechanics and a heart ready to serve, Michael reached out to the organization’s founder, Talan Skeels-Piggins, offering his skills to support their cause.

Michael’s personal journey with multiple sclerosis, diagnosed over two decades ago, had cast a shadow of uncertainty over his own ability to ride. Engaging with “The Bike Experience” transformed his fear into a catalyst for change. He witnessed first-hand the transformative power of the program—not only for the riders but for the volunteers who rallied around them.

The First Event and the Growth of TBEXUSA

In the autumn of 2016, the seeds of their labor bore fruit. With a single motorcycle and one determined participant who signed up despite the inclement October weather, The Bike Experience USA held its inaugural event. Two resilient survivors braved the elements, culminating in a day marked by triumph and the birth of an organization that would touch countless lives.
